Prisons in L.A. County
Prisons, like other government facilities, should be built close to the people they serve. Los Angeles County was chosen for a state prison because 38% of California’s prison inmates call L.A. County home. Let’s take that a step further. Which of the many cities in the county provide the bulk of that number? If you guessed Los Angeles, you are probably right.
Let’s face it, they are coming from somewhere. Some couple in South Dakota is not turning out all of these criminals. Don’t let the state ruin our desert; build the prison in East L.A. Let them stay here and breathe the bus fumes with the rest of us.
