Six Haitians were wounded when a plainclothes policeman fired into a crowd of about 2,000 at the end of a peaceful anti-government demonstration in the capital of Port-au-Prince, triggering a stampede, witnesses said. No one appeared to be seriously injured, hospital officials said. The demonstration, organized by 11 feminist groups, was the latest in a series of confrontations between law enforcement authorities 1634624544resignation of the provisional junta led by Lt. Gen. Henri Namphy.
