Mission Viejo Wins Summer Soccer Final

Mission Viejo High School scored a 5-1 victory over Troy in the final of the 16-team Fountain Valley boys’ summer soccer league tournament Sunday at Fountain Valley High School.
Mission Viejo had advanced to the final by beating Kennedy earlier Sunday. Mission Viejo tied Kennedy, 2-2, in regulation but advanced by a 3-1 advantage in penalty kicks.
Troy defeated Foothill, 2-0, in the other semifinal Sunday.
Kennedy defeated Foothill, 5-1, in the third-place game.
