A dispute over a Houston hotel has been settled, with Dallas billionaire H. Ross Perot and developer William T. Criswell, partners in a venture that built the Hyatt Regency West, agreeing to make Perot the hotel’s owner. Both will dismiss all claims in pending litigation. A joint statement said the pair had agreed that the hotel partnership, which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in 1986, “will promptly emerge from bankruptcy proceedings under restructured ownership.” Perot had sued Criswell and a New York bank seeking $199 million in damages, while Criswell filed a $144-million counterclaim damage suit.
