Aquino Cousin Accused of Graft

MANILA — The government today filed graft charges against a cousin of President Corazon Aquino, business tycoon Eduardo Cojuangco, in its attempt to recover riches amassed by ousted ruler Ferdinand E. Marcos and his associates.
The $2.4-billion suit accused Cojuangco, an estranged first cousin of Aquino, of being a front for Marcos and his wife, Imelda, in the Manila Bulletin Publishing Corp., which publishes the nation’s leading English daily.
