‘Equalizer’ Star Woodward in Hospital

WARWICK, England — Edward Woodward, who plays the title role in the American TV series “The Equalizer,” was being treated today for a suspected heart attack, and a hospital official said the British actor’s condition was improving.
Woodward, 57, was admitted to Warwick Hospital in central England on Tuesday with breathing problems and chest pains. He became ill at his home in nearby Edgehill, where he was filming British-made TV spy thriller.
