Observations on the Iran-Contra Congressional Hearings

Why vote for senators and congressmen? Why not just have a king? Because we Americans are blessed enough to have a government which has a system of checks and balances. This is to avoid having one group or one person from obtaining all the power. This is why these congressional hearings are not overblown. The Reagan Administration’s loophole searching secrecy is one step closer to anarchy. The true freedom fighters are those defending our Constitution, not the contras. The Reagan Administration means well in trying to stop communist aggression but to do so in a non-governmental way is almost communistic.

I do not believe in contra aid because we need to give aid to our homeless and we don’t need another Vietnam. Some of us Americans do not want to support rebels who go around killing nuns, children and other civilians, including Americans.
