Los Angeles : Cal State Gets Grants

Cal State Los Angeles has received more research grants than any other college in the California State University system, according to a report by the National Institutes of Health. The school received 11 grants, totaling $2 million, including a $1.2-million grant to Anthony Andreoli, a chemistry professor, for training minority students in biomedical research. Others who received grants included Roger Bowers, a biology professor, and Phoebe Dea, a chemistry professor, who each received $68,435.
