Ann D. Eddy, Widow of Nelson Eddy, Dies

Ann Denitz Eddy, former wife of legendary director-producer Sidney Franklin and widow of Nelson Eddy, the fabled musical star of the 1930s and ‘40s, died Friday in her West Los Angeles home.
Daughter of Phillip Denitz, a wealthy merchant and one of the developers of Venice, she married Franklin, director and producer for Greta Garbo, Mary Pickford, Marion Davies and many other stars, in 1914. They divorced in 1930 and she married Eddy in 1939. He died in 1967.
Survivors include her son, Sidney Jr., four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a sister.
