James A. Eibel, vice president of planning and technology for Ameritech, will succeed Plummer. A successor to Eibel has not been named.
Ameritech is the Chicago-based parent of the Bell companies serving Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin, and of several other communications-related subsidiaries.
