Aloca’s earnings were sharply higher for the third quarter of 1987 than in the strike-affected third quarter of 1986. Net income for the Pittsburgh firm increased to $109.1 million from $34.1 million. Revenue rose 25% to $1.38 billion. Shipments of aluminum products were up 16% to 397,000 metric tons from 341,000 metric tons.
