Southern Section Water Polo : Chris Oeding Leads Corona del Mar, 10-2

Chris Oeding had four goals to lead Corona del Mar High School to a 10-2 victory over Foothill in a 4-A Southern Section water polo quarterfinal match Tuesday at Corona del Mar.
Chip Blankenhord, Chip Cesarier and Hagen Granthom had two goals each for Corona del Mar (25-4), which will play Sunny Hills Friday in a semifinal. Foothill ends the season at 17-7.
In other 4-A quarterfinal matches:
Sunny Hills 18, University 10--The Lancers, the defending 4-A champions and top-seeded team, won at Heritage Park in Irvine to advance to a semifinal Friday against Corona del Mar, which Sunny Hills (25-2) defeated for the championship last season.
Long Beach Wilson 9, Tustin 7 (OT)--Chris Thue and Grant Bixby had goals in overtime for host Wilson. Tustin’s John Wilson scored in the final minute of regulation play to tie the score. Wilson and teammate Jay Warren finished with two goals each. Wilson is 20-4. Tustin finishes 18-11.
Newport Harbor 8, Villa Park 5--The Sailors (24-4), the second-seeded team in the 4-A, advanced to a semifinal against third-seeded Long Beach Wilson Friday. Villa Park ends 18-9.
In a 2-A quarterfinal:
Costa Mesa 17, El Rancho 13--The Mustangs (22-6), the defending 2-A champions, advance to a semifinal against South Pasadena.
