Local News in Brief : South County : Holiday Food Drive Under Way at School

Shorecliffs Junior High School is sponsoring its fourth annual canned food drive to help needy families as the holiday season approaches.
Last year, the school collected 2,010 cans of food that were distributed to 275 families through the St. Vincent de Paul Society in San Juan Capistrano.
This year, food drive sponsors have set their goal at 2,500 cans by Nov. 24. People are asked to bring their canned food donations to the school at 240 Via Socorro in San Clemente.
