Beverlywood : Gershman to Be Honored

Los Angeles Board of Education member Alan Gershman will be inducted into Hamilton High School Academy of Music’s hall of fame at 8 p.m. Saturday at the school campus, 2955 S. Robertson Blvd.
Gershman will be honored because of the role he played in the development of the academy, a music magnet school specializing in instrumental music, choral music, piano, dance, drama and musical theater. The academy opened this fall with 400 students from throughout the district.
Concert pianist Alan Gampel will perform and actress Michele Lee will deliver a keynote address. Gampel and Lee are former Hamilton graduates.
