Local News in Brief : College Fair for Students

A college information fair for Torrance high school students and parents will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at West High School. Sue Herbers, a spokeswoman for the sponsoring Torrance Council of PTAs, said the annual event also is open to other public and private high school students in the South Bay.
Representatives of universities and the military academies will be on hand to answer questions about academic and financial aid programs at their schools, Herbers said.
She said high school counselors also will be available to help students map out study programs leading to graduation and eventual admission to college.
