Southern California trucking companies and businesses that rely on truck transportation will meet Friday in Anaheim to talk about shifting freight deliveries to off-peak hours. Proposals to restrict truck operations or ban trucks altogether during commute hours have been discussed by both Los Angeles Mayor Tom Bradley and the South Coast Air Quality Management District. The purpose of the forum, sponsored by the California Trucking Assn., is to discuss a voluntary off-peak delivery program.
