Sheesham Wins Railbird at Hollypark, Gives Pincay His 6,900th Career Victory

Sheesham won the $83,450 Railbird Stakes at Hollywood Park Saturday, giving jockey Laffit Pincay his 6,900th career victory.
Sheesham, a winner by 2 3/4 lengths over Affordable Price, covered the 7 furlongs in 1:22 3/5 to earn the winner’s purse of $49,700 and boost her career total to $141,662.
Sheesham paid $5.00, $3.20 and $2.40 after recording her fourth victory in seven career starts and second in a row. All four have come under Pincay, who scored his first career win May 19, 1964 at Presidente Remon race track in his native Panama.
Affordable Price paid $5.00 and $3.20, and Super Avie was another 1 3/4 lengths behind in third, returning $3.80 to show.
Sheesham took the lead in the race for 3-year-old fillies after the first 4 furlongs and gradually increased her margin down the stretch.
