The “Monte Carlo Grand Prix Night” on April 23 netted about $15,000 for Junior Achievement of Southern California. Walter Blass and Les McCraw were co-chairmen.
The “Chocolate Fantasy Fair ‘88” on April 23 and 24 netted $16,000 for the Virginia Castle Auxiliary of the Assistance League, Newport Beach. Carolyn Matthews and Barbara Shoemaker were co-chairwomen.
The “Designs for Dining” home tour April 27 netted about $45,000 for the Cinderella Guild of Childrens Hospital of Orange County. Marion Pickens was chairwoman.
“The Orient Express” dinner/auction on April 30 netted $25,000 for the University of Southern California Town and Gown Junior Auxiliary of Orange County. Charm Logan and Dori Fitch were co-chairmen.
“A Taste of Irvine” wine-tasting benefit May 1 netted an estimated $15,000 for Irvine Temporary Housing. Ann Miller and Joe Rubino were co-chairmen.
The “Spring Celebration” on April 23 netted $4,000 for California Health Decisions. Vivian Hall and Dr. Francis (Bud) Mackey were co-chairmen.
