Hardman to Play Basketball at BYU

Karina Hardman, a sophomore forward from Moorpark College, signed a letter of intent Wednesday to play basketball at BYU.
Hardman, the most valuable player and leading scorer in the Western State Conference, averaged 24.7 points a game and was a first-team, All-State selection. She was third in the state in scoring, averaged 7.5 rebounds and had 125 assists and 121 steals.
Kerrie Marshall of El Camino Real High, The Times’ Valley Player of the Year, and Cindy Wiley of Thousand Oaks both have said that they will play for Moorpark next season.
Marshall was co-MVP in the West Valley League and averaged 21 points and 13.2 rebounds a game.
Wiley was a forward on the Thousand Oaks team that advanced to the quarterfinals of the Southern Section 4-A Division playoffs.
