2 Workers Suspended in Train Crash Inquiry

FAIRLAWN, N.J. — A dispatcher and a tower operator involved in a head-on crash of two Conrail freight trains that killed one crewman have been suspended without pay, officials said Sunday. A spokeswoman for New Jersey Transit said the suspension was normal procedure while drug test results are awaited.
