NCAA Women’s Golf : Philbrick Moves Into Tie for First

LAS CRUCES, N.M. — San Jose State’s Denise Philbrick shot a 4-under-par 70 on the third day of the National Collegiate Athletic Assn. women’s golf tournament Friday to tie Oklahoma State’s Eva Dahllof for the individual lead at 216.
Dahllof, the sole leader after the first first two rounds of the 72-hole tournament, shot her second straight par-74, making two birdies and two bogeys.
Tulsa moved up from third place to replace Oklahoma State as the leader among the 17 schools bidding for the team title. Tulsa took the lead with an 889, and Oklahoma State dropped into an eighth-place tie with Texas at 899.
Arizona State, at 892, was in second place, and Georgia was third with 893. Defending champion San Jose State was in fourth at 895.
