A moderate earthquake jostled communities in the southern San Francisco Bay Area, eight days after a much stronger shaker struck in the same fault zone. No damage or injury was reported from the latest quake. The epicenter of the 4.0 magnitude quake on the Calaveras Fault was seven miles east of Morgan Hill.
