Trading Honorariums for a Pay Raise

In response to the question in your editorial “Ethical Jam” (Dec. 14):

No, $300 million is not too much to pay for an uncorrupted Congress. But I would be somewhat more disposed to applaud the idea of a 50% pay raise were it not for the fact that a short time ago members of this same Congress, who cannot live on $90,000 a year, voted against raising the minimum wage for people making about $6,760 a year. Have they no sense of morality? What a dumb question!
