New Plans Told for Gorbachev Visits

LONDON — Soviet President Mikhail S. Gorbachev is likely to visit Britain in late January, Soviet sources said here Friday.
Soviet sources in Havana also reported Friday that Gorbachev is likely to visit Cuba late next month.
A Soviet Embassy official in the Cuban capital said no date had been set, although he made clear the visit would not take place before mid-January because of a planned meeting of the Soviet Communist Party Central Committee.
Gorbachev had been due to visit Britain and Cuba earlier this month after his trip to New York City, but he cut short his U.S. visit and flew straight home to lead the relief of earthquake victims in Armenia.
