Baseball Viewers Will Be at a Loss

I was extremely disappointed to see that the traditional “Baseball Game of the Week” will be a thing of the past when CBS gains the network rights in 1990.
Judging from the comments by Neal Pilson of CBS Sports, it is obvious that CBS’ primary motive in gaining the baseball television package was to use the playoffs and World Series as a vehicle to promote upcoming fall shows. Does CBS really think that hype is what makes TV shows successful?
L.A. sports fans are already being shortchanged by the ridiculous TV policies of the NFL. Now we’ll get less baseball, and what’s worse, more Brent Musburger.
