Baseball Viewers Will Be at a Loss

Please, say it ain’t so! CBS is taking over major league baseball broadcasts in 1990. Does this mean that we then must endure Brent Musburger for the league championship series, World Series and football and the NBA championship? Is there no escape? Does this not violate antitrust laws? Equity-for-viewer laws? Can the Dodgers have Vin Scully back full time?
NBC had a class act with Vin and Joe Garagiola, a great team for a lazy afternoon of baseball in a world gone nuts. Here’s hoping that Musburger either learns the secret of humor or gets platooned.
