Joe Kapp, former Minnesota Vikings quarterback and former California football coach, was hospitalized with a broken collarbone after being struck by a taxi while jogging with his dog in Los Gatos, Calif.
Kapp, 50, was crossing a street when a station wagon driven by Festus Banjo, 46, turned a corner and hit Kapp with its right front bumper, police said. Kapp was knocked unconscious. The dog was unhurt.
Police said Banjo would be cited for violating a pedestrian’s right-of-way.
