Frank Gansz, whose teams won just 8 games in 2 seasons, was fired as coach of the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Chiefs’ new director of operations, Carl Peterson, a former personnel executive with Philadelphia, is a close friend of Dick Vermeil, former Eagle and UCLA coach. Peterson said he would talk with Vermeil about his possible interest in returning to coaching.
