Boys’ Roundup : Lutheran Wins Again in Basketball

Pat Begatourian scored 24 points, and Daryl Cole added 22 to lead Orange Lutheran High School to an 82-60 victory over Ontario Christian Wednesday in an Olympic League boys’ basketball game in Ontario.
Orange Lutheran opened a 20-point lead at the half and cruised to the victory. Orange Lutheran is 11-3, 4-0 in league play.
Billy Mouw scored 13 points and Scott De Bei 12 to lead Ontario Christian (6-6, 1-2).
In other Olympic League games:
Whittier Christian 78, Santa Margarita 45--Whittier Christian turned an 11-point halftime lead into a 56-31 rout by the end of three quarters with a 21-7 run in the third. Paul McKinley led Whittier Christian (10-3, 3-0) with 20 points. Santa Margarita dropped to 0-3 in league play.
Valley Christian 65, Capistrano Valley Christian 52--Jason Rodarmel scored 21 points for host Capistrano Valley Christian. Valley Christian outscored the Eagles, 28-14, in the second quarter to take a 42-24 lead at the half.
In Angelus League boys’ soccer:
Servite 3, St. Paul 1--Erwin Garcia scored 3 goals, 2 in the second half, for host Servite in the league opener. Dominick Sarno had 10 saves for Servite (3-6-2, 1-0).
