An employee of a Simi Valley electronics firm was shot and killed at work Thursday, and police said they had arrested a co-worker in the slaying.
Mamdouh Boutros, 41, an employee of Natel Engineering, died after he was shot at least three times in the chest and head about noon, the Ventura County coroner’s office said.
Fellow employee Ramesh Pandya, 39, was arrested without incident at the electronics company, Simi Valley police said. Pandya, of Canoga Park, was being held in the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department East Valley Jail in lieu of $250,000 bail, police said.
Authorities said that Pandya and Boutros, of Chatsworth, worked in the same lab. Police said they were investigating a possible motive for the killing.
