A week away from its most important road trip so far this season, Cal State Dominguez Hills can improve its position in the California Collegiate Athletic Assn. basketball race with a pair of wins beginning tonight at 8:05 at Cal State Los Angeles.
Victories over the Golden Eagles (2-14) and visiting Cal State Northridge (11-5) on Saturday would lift the Toros to 4-1 in the conference. The Toros visit strong Bakersfield and San Luis Obispo next week. Both are 2-1 in the CCAA.
Dominguez Hills (10-6) has won five of its last six games. It leads the CCAA in defense. Each of its first three CCAA opponents scored fewer than 60 points.
