$6.5 Million Awarded to Claremont Colleges

CLAREMONT — The W.M. Keck Foundation has awarded a three-year, $6.5-million grant for construction of a new facility for the Joint Science Department of Claremont McKenna, Pitzer and Scripps colleges in Claremont. The facility, to be located at the intersection of the three colleges near Mills Avenue and 9th Street, will cost $13.3 million. The colleges will raise the balance of the funds. Ground breaking is scheduled for 1990.
