A Mendocino County fisherman reported missing at sea last week was delivered to Los Angeles Harbor by a vessel that rescued him from the ocean hours after his boat sank, the Coast Guard said. A three-day search ended when the wife of Robert Parks, 27, called and reported him safe in Los Angeles, said Petty Officer Dennis Hall. The rescue vessel was not identified. Parks left Noyo River near Fort Bragg on Feb. 2 to retrieve crab pots at Shelter Cove. His boat struck something and sank rapidly 5 miles off Westport, Hall said. Parks put on a survival suit and spent six or seven hours in the water until a passing vessel rescued him and continued to Los Angeles, Hall said.
