2 Killed in Crash of Rescue Copter in France

CHAMBERY, France — A British tourist injured in a skiing accident was killed when a rescue helicopter taking him to the hospital crashed, police said Friday. Also killed was the pilot, Dr. Roland Freyssinet, 68, founder of the French Air Rescue service.
The helicopter was believed to have hit electric wires as it took off, police said.
Freyssinet, who flew Spitfires for the British Royal Air Force during World War II, was well-known in French aviation circles.
