Junior forward Joe Cohen scored 21 points to lead Woodbridge High School to a 78-68 victory over Trabuco Hills Friday in a Pacific Coast League boys’ basketball game at Woodbridge.
Trabuco Hills (17-6, 9-1) had clinched the league championship last week but missed a chance for an undefeated league season.
Tom Shanklin came off the bench to score 17, and Tim Corkin had 11 for Woodbridge (9-11, 7-3), which tied for second with Laguna Hills. Woodbridge gets the second seed out of the league because it beat the league champion. Woodbridge was 30 of 43 from the free-throw line.
