Friends of Little Tokyo Library to Honor Author Yuji Ichioka

Yuji Ichioka, author of “The Issei: The World of the First Generation Japanese Immigrants 1885-1924” will be honored by the Friends of the Little Tokyo Public Library Services at its author recognition luncheon at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
Ichioka is a research associate at the Asian American Studies Center, UCLA, and an adjunct associate professor of history. The luncheon, in the Social Hall of Centenary United Methodist Church in Little Tokyo, will benefit the Little Tokyo branch library, scheduled to open in April in the church’s community building.
