It’s a Boy! Birth in Dallas Makes Thatcher a 1st-Time Grandmother

DALLAS — British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher became a grandmother this week with the birth of a boy to her daughter-in-law.
Diane Thatcher, 28, wife of Mark Thatcher, the prime minister’s 35-year-old son, had a normal delivery without complications Tuesday at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas, said hospital spokeswoman Ginger Seay.
The healthy 7-pound, 2-ounce baby and mother were released from the hospital Thursday, she said. The couple, who live in Rockwall, a Dallas suburb, named the child Michael, Seay added.
