Barry W. Hall has been named chairman...

Barry W. Hall has been named chairman and chief executive officer of California Amplifier based in Camarillo. Hall, who will take office March 27, replaces David R. Nichols, a co-founder of the company. Nichols, 30, will remain president and become chief operating officer. Hall, 40, was appointed at the board of directors’ request.

Hall currently is vice president of finance and chief financial officer of Los Angeles Cellular Telephone Co., a privately held cellular communications company. California Amplifier makes components for microwave communications systems.
