Sacramento police have admitted they made a mistake in raiding the home of a state accountant instead of the reputed “crack house” next door. Capt. Jerry Ledbetter said that a usually reliable informant gave officers the wrong address for the house at which he said he bought rock cocaine on five occasions. Undercover officers raided the home of Terri Tillman-Brown, 38, while she was visiting relatives in Oakland. “We made a mistake, and I called her to express my apologies that the police were involved in that particular episode,” said Police Chief John Kearns. Tillman-Brown said she had called police weekly since January trying to get them to shut down the crack house. City Councilman Joe Serna said the city owes Tillman-Brown more than a telephone call, that it should pay her for the damage.
