Brokerage, Law Firm Lease in Long Beach

One of the largest stock brokerage firms in the nation and one of the oldest law firms in Los Angeles County have signed long-term leases, valued together at about $20 million, for offices in the newly completed, $130-million Shoreline Square office and hotel complex in Long Beach.
Paine Webber will occupy 12,500 square feet of office space for at least 10 years in a $3.3-million deal, and the 40-year-old law firm of Ball, Hunt, Hart, Brown & Baerwitz will occupy more than 38,000 square feet for 15 years in a $16-million transaction. The law firm’s most famous partner is former California Gov. Edmund G. (Pat) Brown Sr.
Grubb & Ellis is exclusive leasing agent for the project, at Ocean and Long Beach boulevards.
