Manager Pete Rose of the Cincinnati Reds, under investigation for alleged gambling, will be allowed to bring witnesses to his hearing before Baseball Commissioner Bart Giamatti next Thursday.
Deputy Commissioner Francis T. Vincent said: “It’s going to be a fair hearing.”
