Teresa Tirelli, 81; Opera Singer, Actress

Teresa Tirelli D’Amico, an opera singer, motion picture actress and hostess of a local radio program devoted to Italian-American music, died Saturday in Northridge of a brain tumor. She was 81.
Known professionally as Teresa Tirelli, she also portrayed an Italian grape stomper in a memorable scene from a 1956 episode of “I Love Lucy” that was set in Italy.
She is survived by four children and six grandchildren. Rosary will be held Monday night and funeral Mass Tuesday morning at St. Peter’s Italian American Catholic Church, 1039 N. Broadway.
