Commercial Scene : Westside Red Cross to Get New Headquarters

Ground has been broken on a $2.4-million, 15,000-square-foot West District American Red Cross headquarters at Sawtelle Boulevard and Ohio Avenue in West Los Angeles.
The facility will replace one the Red Cross has occupied since 1947. Designed by Widom Wein Cohen/Barnett, Santa Monica, the building will include disaster services, a round-the-clock blood donor center, health and safety offices, and volunteer services.
