Chinese National Softball Team Set to Play in Cypress

The Chinese Taipei national softball team will wrap up its three-week tour of the United States with a doubleheader today at Arnold Park in Cypress.
Taipei will play Gordon’s Panthers at 6 p.m. and the Orange County Majestics at 8 p.m. The games are sponsored by the American Softball Assn.
The Panthers’ pitcher is Lisa Fernandez, the Southern Section 5-A player of the year from St. Joseph High School. The Majestics have five players from the U.S. Pan-American team, including former UCLA pitcher Debbie Doom.
