A Bonita teen-ager was in good condition Saturday after suffering multiple stab wounds in an attack at her home.
Sgt. Manny Castillo of the San Diego County sheriff’s homicide detail said the 18-year-old woman was assaulted by a man about 9 a.m. Friday in a back bedroom of her home in the 5300 block of Bonita Road.
Describing the assault as an attempted murder, Castillo said the victim was alone when her attacker entered the bedroom and began stabbing her.
As she put up a struggle, the assailant fled, Castillo said, adding that the woman stumbled outside and collapsed near the driveway, where she was seen by a neighbor and driven to Mercy Hospital.
The suspect, who remained at large Saturday, was described as a slim Oriental male in his 30s, 130 to 140 pounds, black hair, clean-shaven and wearing blue mechanic-style clothing.
