Hall’s Willy Loman is Back: Philip Baker Hall returned to the role of Willy Loman in Los Angeles Theatre Center’s staging of “Death of a Salesman” at the Friday performance. The appearance followed surgery last week to repair a detached retina, which had forced the actor to leave the production Nov. 28. George Murdock was drafted to play Willy and appeared in nine performances between Nov. 30 and Thursday. Hall plans to appear for the rest of the show’s run, which ends Dec. 17.
