Einstein News Footage Missing: Nearly 4,000 feet of film on Albert Einstein that was part of the University of South Carolina’s Movietonews collection fell out the back door of a Federal Express delivery truck in Columbia, S.C., and has been missing for a week. “From a historical standpoint, it is absolutely irreplaceable,” said Don McCallister of the university’s News Film Library. The film shows Einstein appearing at events during the ‘30s. The university was sending the film to New Jersey to be copied for a French film maker.
