Jennifer Brundage pitched a three-hitter and hit a home run to lead Irvine to a 12-0 victory over Corona in a championship quarterfinal softball game of the Laguna Hills tournament Wednesday at Alicia Park.
In other Laguna Hills tournament games:
Marina 9, Mission Viejo 1--Becky Tackett tripled and Christa Yorke hit a home run for Marina (3-2).
Foothill 2, Saugus 0--Leeann Gonzalez struck out six, walked one and allowed four hits in leading Foothill (5-3).
Tustin 20, Santa Ana 2--Shannon Ellis had two hits and three runs batted in and Christine Garner had a triple and three RBIs to lead Tustin (3-1).
In nonleague softball:
Hawthorne 2, Western 1--Beth Queypo had a no-hitter for Western (3-4) and struck out 14, but Western blew a 1-0 lead going into sixth inning on errors and lost in the bottom of the sixth.
