Deadline Set for WWII Veterans’ Memorial Design

April 9 is the deadline for submission of design for a memorial to the Japanese-Americans of World War II. The competition is sponsored by the 100th/442nd/MIS World War II Memorial Fund.
The memorial will be erected in the main plaza area of First Street Plaza.
A $10,000 prize will go to the winner of the competition, according to Michael Barker of the Barker-Patrinely Group, part of a team developing First Street Plaza in Little Tokyo.
