Hotel Investors Trust and Hotel Investors Corp., whose stocks are paired and trade together, said John F. Rothman resigned as president, chief executive and trustee of Hotel Investors Trust and as a director of Hotel Investors Corp.
Graeme W. Henderson will act as interim senior executive of the trust, which does not currently plan to elect a new chief executive to succeed Rothman, the companies said.
Rothman quit to pursue other interests, said the companies, which are selling most of their assets to pursue other business opportunities. Woodland Hills-based Hotel Investors Trust invested in lodging and gaming properties, and Hotel Investors Corp. managed them.
The companies also said they had hired the investment banking firm Salomon Bros. to help them with the asset sales.
